About the Role
This is a leadership role for a designer who combines strong creative direction, deep technical knowledge, and on-site execution experience.
You’ll work closely with our Strategic Planning Team and Construction Team to ensure every project is not only beautifully designed but also buildable, efficient, and delivered to the highest standards. From selecting the right materials to solving practical issues in the field, you’ll play a key role in bridging design intent with construction reality.
We value someone who:
- Has deep experience in commercial interior design, including ground-up construction and interior fit-outs
- Brings extensive knowledge of materials, construction methods, and installation techniques, and can select materials based on design intent, durability, and practicality
- Works hand-in-hand with the Construction Department to proactively resolve field issues and maintain design quality
- Manages multiple projects from concept to completion with precision and accountability
- Has a keen eye for detail, especially in the translation from concept to shop drawings and final build
- Leads with a positive attitude, clear communication, and a supportive team-first mindset
- Enjoys mentoring junior designers, especially in construction detailing and vendor coordination
- Is comfortable conducting site visits and coordinating with GCs, architects, and consultants
- Fluency in Korean or strong familiarity with Korean culture is a strong plus
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop strategic, story-driven design concepts rooted in client goals and spatial branding
- Translate concepts into technical drawings, material selections, and FF&E specifications
- Collaborate with the Construction Department on feasibility, detailing, and on-site problem-solving
- Attend regular site visits and lead field reviews to maintain design intent and quality
- Mentor design staff in construction documentation, vendor communication, and technical detailing
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables with cross-functional teams
- Review and coordinate with external consultants and jurisdictional agencies as needed
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
- 5+ years of experience in commercial interiors with built projects and field coordination
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of building codes, detailing, materials, and construction process
- Demonstrated leadership in guiding design teams through full project lifecycles
