We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Apparel Design Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the design and production of apparel items, ensuring that they meet our quality standards and align with current fashion trends. You will collaborate with designers and other team members to bring innovative ideas to life while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and merchandising strategies.
Responsibilities
*Assist in the design process by creating sketches and illustrations using Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
*Participate in product lifecycle management to ensure timely delivery of apparel items from concept to production.
*Support the development of fashion collections by researching trends, fabrics, and color theory.
*Conduct fittings and assist in garment construction processes, including sewing and alterations as needed.
*Stay updated on fashion retail trends and provide input on styling options for various collections.
*Maintain organized records of designs, samples, and production timelines.
Skills
*Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is essential.
*Strong understanding of product lifecycle management processes.
*Knowledge of fashion design principles, garment construction techniques, and sewing machine operation.
*Familiarity with fashion retail environments and merchandising strategies.
*Excellent illustration skills with a keen eye for detail in graphic design.
*Understanding of color theory as it applies to fabric selection and styling.
*Background in theater or performance arts is a plus, enhancing creativity in fashion styling.
