This job is basically related to ocean freights, which is a logistics service provider which manages from in-transit to delivery completion. The Operations Clerk will have a number of customer accounts assigned and perform administrative tasks to monitor its delivery progress from unloading from vessel to final delivery completion. Will perform administrative duties including monitoring cargo movement, diversion process, data entry, generating and validating reports and documents, active communication with related parties, answering phones, filing, emailing in terms of communication, and extra cost verification.
<ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES>
a. Actively monitor shipment and verify delivery of all shipments.
b. Data entry required upon delivery
c. Use best efforts to keep related parties notified of all shipment problems and work to resolve the issues
d. Promptly inform other party with respect to all problems associated with a shipment and/or customer dissatisfaction.
e. Actively communicate with shipping lines, truckers, freight receivers and internal related parties including supply chain planners.
<MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS>
a. Relevant experience in logistics (especially, ocean import) is a plus.
b. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
c. Strong attention-to-detail, accuracy, problem-solving skills. Ability to accomplish tasks in a timely manner.
d. Computer skills: ability to understand and perform job tasks using computer programs, especially for MS Office Products (particularly excellent for Excel).
e. Excellent organizational skills.
f. Perform other duties as assigned.
