Fashion Designer – Contemporary Womenswear

Elevator Disco is a Los Angeles–based contemporary fashion company producing elevated womenswear for major retailers and specialty boutiques. As our wholesale business continues to grow with national accounts and department stores, we are seeking a Fashion Designer to join our team and play a key role in developing our collections.

This position requires a designer who is both creative and highly organized, with strong technical knowledge and the ability to turn concepts into production-ready garments.

Responsibilities

Design seasonal womenswear collections aligned with brand direction and retail partners

Research fashion trends, fabrics, silhouettes, and color direction

Create detailed flat sketches, tech packs, and construction details for development and production

Work closely with production and factories on sampling, fittings, and revisions

Select fabrics, trims, and develop color stories for each collection

Collaborate with the sales team to ensure designs meet current market demand

Manage sample development and maintain organized design documentation

Qualifications

3–5+ years experience in womenswear design

Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (technical sketches required)

Strong knowledge of garment construction and fabrications

Experience preparing tech packs and working with overseas manufacturers

Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Strong understanding of the contemporary womenswear market

Location
Los Angeles, CA (in-person)
