3Thyme Coffee is a neighborhood café in Los Angeles under new ownership and entering an exciting new chapter. Over the past several months, we have been working to build upon the café and expand what we offer our guests. We have also reinstated our beer and wine license and are looking to develop a strong beverage program.
We are seeking an experienced Sommelier / Wine & Beverage Specialist to help us build and manage our wine and beer offerings. This is a hands-on position for someone who has a strong knowledge of wine and beer and enjoys providing excellent hospitality.
Responsibilities
Help select and curate our wine and beer offerings
Make knowledgeable wine and beer recommendations to guests
Assist with developing our wine and beer menu
Educate staff on wine, beer, pairings, and proper service
Assist with inventory, ordering, and product organization
Help develop wine and beer pairings with our food and seasonal offerings
Ensure proper storage, handling, and service of alcoholic beverages
Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service
Help maintain a welcoming and approachable beverage experience
Follow all California alcohol-service and responsible-service requirements
Qualifications
Previous experience in wine, beer, hospitality, restaurants, bars, or beverage programs required
Strong knowledge of wine and beer
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
Comfortable making recommendations and educating guests
Passion for wine, beer, food, and hospitality
Reliable, organized, and professional
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
RBS certification preferred
Sommelier certification is a plus, but not required
Schedule
20–40 hours per week
Must have flexible availability (will discuss during interviews)
Availability to work a combination of weekdays and weekends is preferred
Schedule will vary based on business needs and candidate availability
