Benefit Payment Methods
Typically, it will take about a week after your first certification to receive your first benefit payment, which for many claimants will arrive on an EDD Debit CardSM. Due to the high volume of claims being processed, it may take a few extra days to receive your EDD Debit Card in the mail. You can choose to have your payment transferred to your own bank account by visiting the Bank of America EDD Debit Card website.
If you were issued an EDD Debit Card in the last three years, you will receive your benefit payments on that card. If your card has expired, a new card will automatically be sent to you once funds are available.
If you lost your EDD Debit Card, you have a couple options:
Access your Bank of America online account and set up a one-time or recurring direct deposit transfer to the financial institution of your choice at no cost to you. Visit Bank of America EDD Debit Card.
