We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations for a fast-growing logistics and fulfillment company. This role is hands-on and operational, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing close processes, and supporting leadership with timely and reliable financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a dynamic fulfillment environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
Oversee general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Supervise AP/AR functions, billing accuracy, and collections
Ensure proper revenue recognition and cost allocation for fulfillment operations
Prepare internal financial reports and variance analyses
Coordinate with external CPA firms for tax filings, audits, and reviews
Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow monitoring
Improve accounting workflows, documentation, and SOPs
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, HR, and Leadership
Prepare and report financial statements to headquarters in compliance with HQ reporting requirements and IFRS guidelines
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Prior experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, or operations-heavy industries strongly preferred
Supervisory or team-lead experience preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes
Proficiency with accounting systems (QuickBooks experience preferred)
Advanced Excel skills
CPA or CPA-track is a plus (not required)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools and emerging technologies preferred
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, including AI-assisted workflow tools such as Claude Cowork, to improve reporting, analysis, and operational efficiency
Comfortable leveraging technology to automate processes, enhance accuracy, and support data-driven decision-making
