Things Between is a rapidly growing women’s apparel company in trend-driven knitwear, sweaters, and lifestyle apparel. We partner with retailers and specialty accounts across the United States and work closely with overseas manufacturing partners to bring products from concept to customer. 

 

Position Summary

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Associate Designer to join our growing design team. This position will work closely with senior designers and management to develop commercially relevant apparel from initial concept through sample development. 

 

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of fashion, trends, garment construction, and the product development process and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to develop seasonal collections and new product concepts.

• Research current and emerging fashion, color, fabric, silhouette, and market trends.

• Create design sketches, CADs, technical drawings, and supporting design details.

• Develop new styles under the direction of senior designers and management.

• Assist with the creation and maintenance of tech packs, including construction details, measurements, trims, and design specifications.

• Develop and coordinate seasonal color palettes, colorways, prints, fabrics, and trims.

• Work closely with vendors and factories throughout the sample development process.

• Review development samples and communicate design revisions to ensure the intended aesthetic and execution are achieved.

• Maintain organized design files, sample records, fabric references, and development information.

• Manage multiple styles and projects simultaneously while meeting development and production deadlines.

• Partner with Production, Technical Design, and other teams to resolve development and execution issues.

• Stay aware of competitive brands, retail trends, and customer preferences to help identify new product opportunities.

 

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional apparel design experience, preferably as an Associate Designer or Designer.

• Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.

• Strong understanding of apparel design, garment construction, fabrics, trims, and product development.

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Experience creating CADs, technical sketches, and tech packs.

• Strong eye for color, proportion, silhouette, and commercial product.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional vendor communication.

• Collaborative, proactive, and receptive to feedback and creative direction.

Fit Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fit Technician to support our design and production teams throughout the garment development and production process. The role is responsible for evaluating garment fit, measurements, construction, and overall execution while communicating clear and actionable fit comments to vendors and factories. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fit sessions and accurately document fit, construction, and measurement comments.

• Measure and evaluate development, fit, TOP, and production samples against approved specifications.

• Prepare clear and detailed fit comments, measurement corrections, and construction instructions for vendors and factories.

• Communicate directly with vendors regarding fit corrections and sample revisions and follow up to ensure timely completion.

• Identify potential fit, construction, quality, production, and design issues before garments move into production.

• Review workmanship, garment construction, proportions, and overall execution to ensure consistency with approved standards.

• Maintain and update garment specifications, measurement charts, and fit-related documentation.

• Apply knowledge of garment grading, tolerances, and spec measurements to ensure size consistency.

• Track fit and production samples according to production calendars, delivery dates, and customer deadlines.

• Prioritize workload across multiple styles and deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

• Work closely with Design and Production teams to resolve technical issues and maintain product quality.

 

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Fit Technician, Technical Designer, or similar apparel technical role preferred.

• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading, specifications, and measurement techniques.

• Ability to accurately measure garments and identify discrepancies against specifications.

• Strong understanding of apparel production and sample approval processes.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Proactive, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

• Bilingual in English and Korean preferred.

Production Associate

Position Summary

The Production Associate plays a critical role in managing the day-to-day execution of production, ensuring that styles move efficiently from purchase order issuance through final shipment. This role serves as a key liaison between internal teams and overseas factories, helping maintain accuracy, organization, and on-time delivery across all production programs.

 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines simultaneously. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Production Coordination

- Manage POs 

- Organize and maintain production binders, tech packs, swatches, and approval files

- Track production milestones from PO issuance through shipment

- Ensure all production information is accurately maintained and updated 

 

Factory Communication

- Communicate daily with overseas factories regarding production status, approvals, timelines, and shipment schedules

- Follow up on outstanding items and ensure issues are resolved promptly

- Escalate production risks and delays to management when necessary 

 

Sample & Approval Management 

- Coordinate receipt, organization, and review of bulk swatches, PP, and TOP samples

- Track approval status and communicate confirmations to factory partners 

- Maintain approval records and supporting documentation 

 

Fittings & Product Development Support

- Coordinate production sample fitting schedules with internal teams

- Capture fitting notes and ensure fit comments are communicated accurately and on time 

- Maintain production tracking documents and update status notes following fittings 

 

Shipment & Delivery Tracking

- Monitor shipment schedules and delivery timelines

- Ensure production remains aligned with customer delivery requirements and cancellation dates

- Coordinate TOP sample follow-up and shipment readiness with factory partners

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with Design, Production, Sales, Warehouse, and Leadership teams

- Support problem-solving related to production quality, timing, and execution

- Assist with special projects and process improvements as needed 

 

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in apparel production, sourcing, merchandising, or product development 

- Strong organizational and time-management skills

- Excellent written communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously 

- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, Slack

- 3+ years of ERP experience

- Experience working with overseas factories preferred 

- Apparel industry experience strongly preferred
