ROLE SUMMARY
Dogtra is seeking a Product Development Associate who will support end-to-end product development lifecycle for products such as but not limited to e-collars, GPS collars, and smart containment systems. This role will serve as the primary liaison between the U.S. and Korea’s R&D team on compliance, operations, quality, and customer support to bring products from concept through launch and post-launch optimization.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, experienced in project management and technical coordination, problem solver, and bilingual in Korean required. Attention to detail is required with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. This position reports to the Business Administration and Human Resources Manager and is full time in-office at the Garden Grove office.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO)
1. Product Development and R&D Coordination
• Support product development from concept, prototyping, testing, validation, and production including documents translation from Korean to English
• Coordinate with Korea-based R&D team on specifications, design updates, firmware changes, and testing feedback
• Track product requirements, revision changes, and technical documentation
• Assist in defining product specifications, feature requirements, and performance criteria
2. Testing, Quality & Compliance
• Coordinate internal and external product testing, validation, and reliable testing
• Support compliance documentation for applicable standards (e.g., FCC, IC, CE, UN 38.3)
• Track quality issues, corrective actions, and improvements
3. Cross Functional Collaboration
• Facilitate communication across all departments (Customer Service, Operations, Sales, Marketing) to align priorities and schedules
• Provide product documentation and technical support materials to internal teams
• Support Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing with technical clarifications, product knowledge, and launch timelines
• Participate in department meetings to ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables
4. Product Lifecycle & Continuous Improvement
• Support post-launch monitoring, issue escalation, and product improvement
• Analyze field data and customer feedback to recommend enhancements
5. Sales, Marketing, & Executive Collaboration
• Support the Sales team with product strategy and sales performance analysis, including competitive research and market feedback
• Assist Marketing with product translation coordination, manual drafting and review, and other product related marketing support as needed
• Provide product knowledge and technical input for launch materials and internal training
• Assist the CEO with special projects as needed and perform additional duties as assigned by executive management
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Communications, or similar)
• Bilingual in Korean
• Minimum three years of business administration or project coordination
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in fast pace surrounding
• Traveling as needed (less than 15%)
Preferred:
• Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
