독립기념일을 맞아 불꽃놀이와 퍼레이드 등 각종 행사들이 남가주 지역 곳곳에서 화려하게 펼쳐집니다.

가볼 만한 독립기념일 행사들을 박현경 기자가 정리했습니다.

독립기념일을 맞아 곳곳에서 펼쳐지는 불꽃놀이가 남가주 밤하늘을 화려하게 수놓을 예정입니다.

LA와 오렌지카운티 등 50여 곳에서 펼쳐지는 불꽃놀이 가운데 남가주 가장 큰 규모로 열리는 행사는 바로 올해로 87번째 패사디나 로즈보울에서 열리는 아메리카페스트 2013입니다.

아메리카페스트 2013 불꽃놀이 행사 관계자들은 특히 올해는 역대 최대 규모로 불꽃놀이가 펼쳐질 것이라고 밝혀 눈길을 끌고 있습니다.

저녁 7시부터 모터사이클 스턴트 쇼를 시작으로 그래미상을 수상한 섹소폰 연주가 케니 G와 멕시코 밴드 ‘마리아치 디바스’의 공연에 이어 밤 9시부터 불꽃놀이 쇼가 펼쳐집니다.

로즈볼 주차장은 4일 오전 9시부터 열리고 스타디움 밖에서는 오후 2시부터 각종 음식벤더와 놀이기구 등이 마련될 예정입니다.

지난해 오픈한 LA다운타운 그랜드 팍에서는 올해 처음 불꽃 쇼가 펼쳐집니다.

4일 오후 2시부터 음악 공연에 이어 밤 9시 가벼운 불꽃 쇼가 펼쳐지게 되는데, 가족이나 친구들끼리 소풍을 나온 기분이 나도록 꾸며진 것이 특징입니다.

마리나 델 레이 지역 해변에서는 밤 9시부터 버튼 체이스 팍에서 음악이 흘러나오는 가운데 20여분 간의 아름다운 불꽃놀이를 볼 수 있습니다.

스튜디오 시티에 위치한 CBS 스튜디오 센터에서는 저녁 5시부터 비치 보이즈 트리뷰트 밴드인 Catch a Wave 공연에 이어 제 15회 불꽃놀이 페스티발이 열립니다.

지난해 예산문제로 취소됐던 린우드 시티 팍에서의 불꽃놀이는 올해 린우드 상공회의소의 도움으로 다시 열리는 가운데 8천여 명이 참석할 것으로 예상됩니다.

LA갤럭시와 콜럼버스 크루의 경기가 열리는 스텁허브 센터에서는 경기 직후 불꽃놀이가 마련됐습니다.

또 헐리우드볼에서는 조쉬 그로반의 콘서트에 이어 불꽃놀이가 펼쳐질 예정입니다.

불꽃놀이 뿐만 아니라 독립기념일을 축하하는 각종 퍼레이드도 마련됐습니다.

특히 올해는 무엇보다 다양한 주제로 꾸며진 것이 눈에 띕니다.

산타모니카 지역 제 7회 독립기념일 퍼레이드는 ‘당신은 영웅은 누구입니까?’란 주제로 4일 오전 9시 30분부터 메인 스트릿과 피코 블러바드에서 시작됩니다.

‘Waves of Freedom’을 주제로 올해 65회째를 맞는 퍼시픽 팰리세이드 퍼레이드는 올해 83살 헐리우드 원로배우, 에드 에스너가 그랜드마셜로 참석하는 가운데 오후 2시부터 비아 데 라 패즈와 드러먼드 스트릿에서 펼쳐집니다.

사우스 패사디나에서는 또   ‘도시의 125번째 생일을 축하한다’는 주제로 제 31회 퍼레이드가 펼쳐집니다.

웨스트체스터의 14번째 퍼레이드는 환경보호를 주제로 오전 11시부터 개최될 예정입니다.
