Position: trucking customer service representative


JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the CSR manager, provide professional, courteous, and timely responses to the diversified requests and requirements of the transportation account base; manage the activities associated with meeting customer requirements within the scope of support and service to the customer in the areas including, but not limited to, order acceptance and inquiry response; and responsible for addressing and resolving any customer complaints.


   ●  Accept and process orders from customers.

   ●  Maintain internal account information and data for assigned customers, including updating as necessary.

   ●  Solicit freight from existing, new, and prospective customers as needed to maintain lane balance and full utilization of resources, 

      and to generate and maximize profitable business opportunities.

   ●  Mediate to resolve customer problems and issues as necessary.

   ●  Display a consistently positive attitude with customers and fellow employees utilizing effective communication skills to maintain 

      a cooperative working relationship

   ●  Proactively respond to potential and actual service requirements and exceptions

   ●  Develop effective and profitable relationships with regional customers.

   ●  Document and maintain reports on regional customer service.

   ●  Coordinate communication to meet customer expectations and meet utilization needs.

   ●  Strict attention to detail when inputting customer data into the computer system.

   ●  Schedule appointments and track loads to ensure on-time delivery,

   ●  Knowing where your loads are at all times.

   ●  Perform such duties and assume such other responsibilities as may be required to accomplish the essential job functions as 

       directed by the CSR Supervisor or the Department Director.



   ●  1 - 3 years of office job experience preferred

   ●  Bachelor's degree preferred

   ●  Strong communication skills (both e-mail and phone)

   ●  Ability to work under pressure with multi-tasking skills

   ●  Ability to work with a variety of other departments.

   ●  Demonstrate above average organizational skills to effectively handle multiple priorities with short deadlines.

   ●  Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

   ●  Fluent in English
