Position Title: Accountant
Position Overview:
As an Accountant, you'll play a crucial role in managing financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and providing valuable insights. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization while advancing your career in accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Interprets financial information and consults with management its use.
• Analyze financial information and summarizing financial status
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivables
• Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Monitors cash balances.
• Ensures ledgers accurately reflect the Agency’s financial position and performance.
• Reviews and prepares bank reconciliations.
• Produces various monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Reviews and maintains general ledger and prepares general journals.
• Reviews batch controls for completeness and accuracy.
• Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business/Accounting; AND
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting, general ledger (GL) functions, month-end/year-end close process, and financial reporting experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Knowledge of Microsoft Access a plus
• Ability to make sound accounting decisions within established guidelines
• Knowledge of accounting and auditing practices and principles, including fund accounting
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
• Able to work on multiple project with accuracy and efficiency
• Restaurant Hospitality industry experience preferred
Physical setting:
• Office (located in Los Angeles)
Schedule:
•8 hour shift (9am to 5:30pm - 1 hour meal break)
• Monday to Friday
