미국 빌보드와 양대 팝 차트로 꼽히는 영국 오피셜 차트는 15일(현지시간) 차트 데이터를 기반으로 영국에서 가장 인기를 끈 방탄소년단 곡 40개를 소개했다.
오피셜 차트는 "헌신적인 영국 아미(방탄소년단 팬)들은 방탄소년단 싱글과 EP(미니음반), 앨범에서 4억6천700만 회가량의 스트리밍을 쌓아 올렸다"고 전했다.
가장 스트리밍이 많이 이뤄진 곡은 지난해 4월 발매된 '맵 오브 더 솔: 페르소나'(MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA) 앨범 타이틀곡 '작은 것들을 위한 시'(Boy With Luv)다. 영국에서 2천910만 회 스트리밍되고, 오피셜 싱글 차트 13위까지 오르면서 방탄소년단 곡으로서는 영국 내 최고 기록을 세웠다.
2018년 8월 발매된 리패키지 앨범 '러브 유어셀프 결 앤서'(LOVE YOURSELF 結 Answer) 타이틀곡 '아이돌'(IDOL)이 스트리밍 2천180만 회로 2위를 차지했다. '아이돌'로 방탄소년단은 오피셜 싱글 차트 40위권에 처음 진입해 21위까지 올랐다.
이어 '디엔에이'(DNA)가 3위, '페이크 러브'가 4위, '마이크 드롭'(MIC Drop)이 5위로 뒤를 따랐다.

BTS's rise to global stardom hasn't been as fast as you might think. The seven-piece South Korean group launched in 2013 to huge success in their homeland, and despite recently claiming the the title as the world's biggest boy band, their success on the UK's Official Charts - and charts across the world - is still growing.
BTS first appeared on the Official UK Charts in 2016, when their second album Wings landed at Number 62. In 2017, DNA reached Number 90 on the Official Singles Chart, and its parent album Love Yourself: Her debuted at 14, making their first big UK breakthrough. The feat is even more impressive when you consider most of their music is performed in Korean.
Since then, they've scored a Top 40 songs with Idol and Boy With Luv, and four albums from their Love Yourself series have reached the Top 20, including 2019's chart-topping Persona.

Their seriously dedicated UK A.R.M.Y (which stands for Adorable Representative MC for Youth) have notched up some 467 million streams of their tracks across all their singles, EPs and albums.
Their most streamed (on both audio and video streaming metrics) song is Boy With Luv, their 2019 collaboration with Halsey that currently stands as their highgest charting song in the UK, peaking at Number 13, with 29.1 million streams.

Idol, from 2018's Love Yourself: Answer album ranks second place with 21.8 million streams. The song, which blends traditional Korean instruments with South African dance music, was their first song to break the Official UK Top 40, reaching Number 21 following the release of an alternative version featuring Nicki Minaj. DNA, which is widely credited as the group's global breakthrough hit, ranks third in the group's most-streamed Top 40.
Elsewhere,the pop-leaning Fake Love, released in May 2018, is fourth with 20.3 million plays, while the hip hop-lite Mic Drop, a song inspired by Barack Obama's mic drop at his last White House Correspondents' Dinner in 2016, places fifth on 17.7 million.
Just outside the Top 5 in sixth place is Blood, Sweat & Tears, taken from their second album Wings. The EDM-laced banger, which has a stunning six minute visual to accompany it, didn't chart in the UK but has racked up 14.7 million streams regardless.
