Position: Legal Assistant
Overview: A Legal Assistant's primary goal is to support our legal team by providing customer service to clients,
maintaining calendars and schedules, organizing and maintaining our filing system and case files, and drafting
correspondence and legal documents.
Responsibilities:
1.Provides customer service and responsiveness to firm needs through phone calls, emails, letters, and other
communications.
2.Schedule medical appointments, request medical records and manage client's medical care
3.Interacts with the clients, courts and administrative agencies regarding hearings, motions and other appearances,
becoming the clients and courts' primary point of contact with the firm for all administrative and scheduling issues
4.Maintains the Firm Calendar and Attorney Calendar's with important events, deadlines, and reminders and
maintains the attorneys' calendars, ensuring all are updated and organized.
5.Prepares documents, reports and sends correspondence as directed including reporting claims to Medi-Cal and
Medi-Care for lien resolution and preparing files to submit to demand writers
6.Ensures case files are opened, organized, and include all relevant materials and information and closed.
7.Enters time and billing data as needed
8.Make copies/scans documents
9.Runs errands
10.Assists attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials
11.Support Intake as needed
Desired qualifications:
- Experienced
- Bilingual English and Korean (reading, writing) ) ) , listening, speaking)
- Detail-oriented and professional
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly proficient with word processing and spreadsheet programs
Salary: Based on experience
Location: Downtown Los Angeles
Work Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm
