양로보건센터 운전 기사 일과 근무는 동일하다고 생각하시면 됩니다.
일반 양로보건센터 방식으로 진행되지만, PACE에서는 의료진이 뒷바쳐줌으로써
마음도 놓이면서 어르신들을 더 체계적으로 돌볼 수 있게 됩니다.

자격 요건
학력:
캘리포니아 주에서 발급한 Class B 상업용 운전면허(여러 승객 탑승 가능한 P 엔도스먼트 포함)
최근 3년간 안전하고 깨끗한 운전기록 필수
LA 시 DOT 운전 허가증 취득 가능자
현행 BLS(기본 심폐소생술) 자격증 소지 필수
경력:
PACE 프로그램에 특화된 교육을 받았거나 노약자·고령자 운송 경력 최소 1년 이상
주요 업무 및 책임:
PACE 이용자들을 안전하게 수송하며 만족스러운 서비스를 제공
배정된 일정에 따라 운행하고, 참가자 및 PACE 센터의 필요에 맞게 유연하게 조정·보고
차량 관련 법규 및 안전 기준을 준수하여 장비를 안전하게 운행
운행 전·후 점검, 유류 구입 내역 등 필수 기록을 정확히 작성·유지
차량 또는 휴대폰의 이상·문제·사고 발생 시 즉시 교통 코디네이터에게 보고
의료/전문의 진료, 활동 프로그램 외출 등 필요한 경우 참가자들을 안전하게 수송
식사·의료장비·약품·가정용품 등 필요한 물품을 운송
참가자가 차량 승·하차 시 필요 시 물리적 지원(문 앞까지 안전하게 동행) 제공
매일 운행 후 차량 점검 및 청결 유지
차량 장비가 제조사 권장 기준에 맞게 유지·보수되도록 관리 및 소모품 교체
필요 시 다학제 팀원으로서 협업
교통 코디네이터와 매일 소통하여 참가자 상태·돌봄 계획 변경·팀 요청사항 등을 공유
회사 정책·절차 및 OSHA 안전 지침 준수
참가자·가족·고객·회사 정보의 기밀 유지
감염성 체액(혈액, 소변, 구토 등) 처리 시 표준 예방지침 및 생물위해물 취급 규정 준수
품질 향상(QI) 활동 참여 및 지원
지속교육 및 필수 직원·교육 모임 참여
요구되는 자격증 및 면허 유지
기타 요청되는 업무 수행

Qualifications and Requirements:
Education/Training/Certifications:
A current State of California Class B Commercial Driver’s License (with P endorsement for multiple passengers)
Safe and clean driving records within the past 3-years are required
Ability to obtain a LA DOT city permit
Current BLS certificate required
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year transporting the frail and elderly or driver training specific to PACE.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for PACE passengers during transport, providing care in a manner which ensures participant satisfaction.
Follows assigned schedule, makes adjustments to meet unanticipated changes while considering the needs of the participant and requirements of the PACE Center. Communicates these changes to the Transportation Coordinator or designee.
Operates equipment safely and in compliance with vehicle licensing regulations.
Maintains and completes daily required records, such as Pre and Post Trip Inspections, gasoline purchases, etc.
Immediately reports to the Transportation Coordinator any vehicle or cell phone operating problems, malfunction, or incidents.
Transports participants to and from medical/specialist appointments and activity outings as requested by the interdisciplinary team per established transportation request process.
Transports meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, home care supplies, or other items deemed necessary.
Provides physical assistance to each participant when needed as s/he boards and disembarks from the program’s vehicles. Provides door-through-door assistance.
Inspects the vehicle at the end of each day and maintains the vehicle in a neat and clean condition.
Ensures vehicle equipment is maintained and operating within manufacturer’s recommendations, replacing supplies as needed.
Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team when requested.
Communicates with Transportation Coordinator or designee daily to be updated on participant conditions/changes, plan of care changes, or interdisciplinary team requests.
Follows policies and procedures and OSHA safety guidelines.
Maintains the confidentiality of all company procedures, results, and information about participants, clients, or families.
Handles potentially infectious fluids (e.g., blood, urine, emesis) with appropriate biohazard precautions and practices Standard Precautions.
Participates in and supports Quality Improvement initiatives.
Participates in continuing education classes and any required staff and training meetings.
Maintains any required certifications or licenses.
Performs other duties as required or requested.
